Time well spent

5/9/2019

It's May 9th, 2019 and when I woke up this morning the first thought that came to my mind was, I got a lot to do today. I needed to shower, eat breakfast, post on my social media, reach out to more followers, and stretch out my back (I recently injured it doing yoga/basketball yes I know very funny) all before work. After I get off my 9-5 I need to get paint and drop it off at one my properties so it can be touched up and finished. I needed to research potential business opportunities and brainstorm on logos. Along with all that is a whole other list of things that I think I have to do. Once it started it just kept going like a snowball effect.

So, I just wanted to remind everyone to take their days one step at a time. If you're overwhelmed with everything you have to do then try writing the tasks down. Sometimes when you write them out you might realize that it wasn't as bad as you were making it. I believe that most of our stress is built because we like to create lists in our heads. We then become scared of the thought that we might forget one throughout the day. We like to believe that we can remember everything and often most times we do. The thing is, we don't realize how much this stress weighs down on us though. So, whenever you start to feel stressed out like I did this morning start a habit of writing it down. Watch your mind start to ease as you're reading the notes.  Whether you're busy or not. It is always helpful to take time out of everyday to think clearly.

Today
Is
My
Everything

No one knows how long they have on this Earth. Time is your most valuable resource. Take a step back to see how you spend your time and if that's really the best way to utilize that precious time. Are you spending most of your time on electronics or maybe it's working for money to buy materialistic things? Time is impossible to get back. So conquer the day however you choose to, but keep that thought in mind. I'm going to take this day to do something different. I'm not sure if it's because we think saying it will make us any less of a man or something. All I know is we don't say it much, but I love you dad and I'll see you after I get off work, until then Happy Birthday.
